Teaching Personal Finance to Vulnerable Groups
Event Details:
The first session of our in-person Financial Literacy Colloquium Fall Quarter 2024 series is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept 24, from noon to 1 pm in room BC104 of the Botha Chan Building.
We will have a fireside chat titled "Teaching personal finance to vulnerable groups: A conversation with Ken Singleton". Ken is the Adams Distinguished Professor of Management, Emeritus at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has published widely on financial risks and their impacts on economic decision-making, including books on credit risk and dynamic asset pricing.
The Financial Literacy Colloquia series aims to bring together individuals on campus engaged in research and programs related to financial literacy, personal finance, household finance, financial wellness, and related topics. The objective is to present research and ongoing work and discuss the main findings and their implications, including how they can be used to teach personal finance or inform policy and programs. Lunch will be provided.
