As part of our new series, Professor Ross Levine presented his new research, 'Credit Market Conditions and Mental Health,' which is joint work with Chen Lin, Qing Hu, and Mingzhu Tai. His presentation provided great insights into the relationship between credit market dynamics and mental health.

Levine, a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and co-director of Hoover’s Working Group on Financial Regulation, shared compelling findings on how finance and access to finance can affect depression and other mental health conditions.

The Financial Literacy Colloquia series aims to bring together individuals on campus engaged in research and programs related to financial literacy, personal finance, household finance, financial wellness, and related topics. The objective is to present research and ongoing work and discuss the main findings and their implications, including how they can be used to teach personal finance or inform policy and programs.
